/02Where we are, and where we come to you
The workshop is a fixed shopfront on the Cherngtalay side of Bangtao Beach, in the Thalang district of Phuket, and it has been on Bangtao Beach since 2010. The cutting and the fittings both happen there rather than being sent elsewhere.
We also travel, at no extra charge, to:

- the wider Thalang district
Those areas rather than the whole island, because a promise that cannot be kept everywhere is worth nothing anywhere — fittings at your hotel covers what we bring and how much notice helps. If you are weighing this end of the island against the busier southern strip, including where the southern strip genuinely wins, that is why Bangtao rather than Patong.
Fittings at your hotel or villa
Four things decide whether one is worth booking.
- We come to hotels and villas across those five areas at no extra charge.
- How much notice a first measuring needs depends on what is already booked that day, so the answer comes back when you ask.
- We bring the cloth books — the same ranges that are on the shelves in the shop.
- The first appointment usually works better at the shop, the later ones at your hotel.

That window covers most garments over two to three fittings, and it assumes you are in Phuket for the fittings. A full-canvas build, a cloth we do not hold, or a wedding party will take longer, and in high season everything runs tighter. Send us your arrival and departure dates and we will tell you what is actually achievable in between.

● Before You Commit
/04How to tell a Phuket tailor is worth trusting
- Find the fixed address, and how long it has been there. A permanent shopfront with a street address and a history is the strongest signal available to a visitor.
- Open the reviews rather than reading the sign. A rating painted on glass is not evidence. A profile you can click into, with names, dates and the shop's replies, is.
- Ask which construction the quoted price covers — fused, half-canvas or full canvas. Any hesitation is itself the answer.
- Ask what is not included. An open question, answered as a list. This is what exposes a price quoted to get you through the door.
- Ask how many fittings, and what happens at each one. The only number you can compare across shops without trusting anybody's adjectives.
- Leave without paying, and come back. No deposit on the same visit as the first quote. A shop that is genuinely comfortable with that has just passed a test costing it nothing.
